Tin Roof Garden

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! First of all, it was very hard to find the entrance. The entire area is cluttered and Items are all VERY overpriced. When i asked where the flowers were the staff just pointed to the herbs and walked away. Then when leaving my car almost got hit by the guy on the frontloader flying thru the parking lot as he was moving dirt.

Love their options for perennials and natives. Staff is very friendly! A friend and I made the mistake of showing up just after closing (and didn’t realize it). They, in no way rushed us or even mentioned they were closing even, but they let us shop!

We purchased our house in February & we’re finally getting around to landscaping! Tom & Beth are incredibly knowledgeable when it came to what could grow in each section, be it shady or direct sun. We’ve caught them during a sale, so the prices can’t be beat. At least go to to check out the giant pumpkin!

This garden center is one of my favorites and has been my go-to for purchasing native plants for my perennial garden. I’ve also been able to find plants “new to me” that I haven’t seen at other garden centers before. All plants I’ve purchased have looked healthy and come back every year. Staff are always welcoming, friendly, and ask if they can help me find anything. Their selection may not be as large as others, but their customer service can’t be beat. They also have speakers, classes, and other events to take advantage of. A visit to Tin Roof Garden is good for the soul!

I really enjoyed speaking with Beth on my first visit recently. She is knowledgeable, asks good qualifying questions, and helpful in determining plant selections based on our interests. I like the emphasis on native plants, and their website has a great list of plants with scientific names so you know exactly what you're getting. I also have to commend them on not using synthetic fertilizer and pesticides with their plants. Too often plants from nurseries are force-fed (and become reliant) on these and it is an expensive, futile waste of resources that ends up in our waterways and groundwater. Thank you so much for trying to avoid contributing to that unlike most nurseries around here! Kudos from an Ecologist.
